The beautiful old “Lucy” at the landing stage depicted just before her departure.
Built with government help for the Cunard line she and her sister ‘Mauretania’ were the first true ‘superliners’ and dominated the Transatlantic scene when they entered service in 1907.
Signed by Alice M. Drury and Avis G. Foley who survived the sinking of the great Liner by torpedo in 1915.
